The University of Minnesota Extension will be hosting a one-day
workshop for families planning the future of their dairy farm in and around Otter Tail County in
conjunction with the Minnesota Dairy Initiative.

The workshop is free to attend, and lunch will be included. Dairy farm families are encouraged
to attend for the opportunity to hear from and talk with University Extension dairy and farm
business management educators on the topics of Risk Management Tools for Success and How do I Get from Here to There? Dairy Margin Coverage and Dairy Revenue Protection are two of the most effective risk management strategies for dairy farms, especially small and medium- sized dairy farms, and enable farmers to reduce the risk of milk price fluctuations in their operations, and this workshop offers the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of both.
