We are excited to introduce you to MDI Coordinator, Karen Gorentz who will serve the northwest and central regions of the state. We are very excited to have Karen joining our team! Read below to learn some more about Karen.
Hello! My name is Karen Gorentz. My family and I reside in Vergas, MN where my
husband and his family milk 150 cows. They also crop around 1500 acres of corn,
soybeans, and alfalfa. I grew up on a 40 cow dairy in Barnum, MN. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Crookston with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Industries Management, I completed a Master of Science degree at North Dakota State University in Nutritional Physiology in Dairy Cattle.
My husband (Jon) and I have three beautiful children – Jaden (14), Kaylin (10), and Kiersten (7). Our family helps on the dairy with as much as we can. Our children are involved in 4-H and sports throughout the year.
I am excited to be apart of the Minnesota Dairy Initiative Team as my passion has always been helping others. I look forward to working with other team members, dairy producers, and industry professionals!
