We are excited to introduce you to MDI Coordinator, Makenzie Alberts who will serve the southeast region of the state. We are very excited to have Makenzie joining our team! Read below to learn about Makenzie.
Hello! My name is Makenzie Alberts. I grew up as the 7th generation on my family’s dairy farm in Pine Island, Minnesota. Throughout high school, I was deeply involved in both 4-H and FFA, which led to opportunities such as serving as the 2022-2023 Minnesota FFA State Secretary and being named one of the 70th Princess Kay of the Milky Way Finalists, representing dairy farmers across Minnesota.
In May, I graduated from South Dakota State University with a double Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communications and Agricultural Leadership, alongside minors in Dairy Industry, Leadership and Management of Non-profit Organizations, and Public Relations.
I continue to help on my family’s farm where I feed calves, milk cows and help with seasonal field work. In my free time, I love spending time with my family at our cabin or unwinding with a good book and snuggling my dogs, River and Misty.
I am excited to be joining MDI and look forward to working with dairy farms in Southeast Minnesota!
