How MDI Helps
Our partners include the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, the University of Minnesota Extension, Minnesota State-AgCentric, Minnesota Milk Producers Association, and the Sustainable Farming Association. Our coordinators located throughout the state in each region facilitate connections between dairy farmers and valuable resources, helping farmers form teams unique to their needs that can help guide them in decisions now and into the future. Typically, these teams have three to six members and may include a range of professionals like veterinarians, milk processing reps, lenders, crop consultants, and nutritionists. After a team is formed, they meet as needed-usually two to four times a year to go over progress and goals.
